This Jaguar XK 120 Coupe has been hiding for 25 years

What is it with Jaguar XK120’s that makes people forget about them? Here’s a barnfind Jaguar that spent the last 25 years in a garage, covered in junk.

This sad, neglected remainder of a car was once a proud, blue Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupe.

It was delivered new in 1952 to some unknown person in the Los Angeles area.

Originally this barnfind Jaguar was Pastel Blue, with a blue leather interior. Some owners later it was resprayed in white and reupholstered with black leather.

It’s part of Bonhams’ Greenwich Concours d’Elegance Auction on June 3.

According to the catalogue, this barnfind Jaguar had a registration that expired in October 1992. So that was probably the year that it ended up in this garage.

The good thing is that the garage was dry, and despite the dirt on the car, it looks to be a good basis for a restoration.

Bonhams estimates the value at USD 30,000 to 40,000.
