Of course, April is a very busy month when it comes to classic car auctions. But May is almost as busy this year. Sales are not only in the UK and the USA but also in Spain, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands.
In total there are 29 live auctions in April 2019. We’ve already had the Goodwood Members Meeting and the Gosford closure auction, but this weekend there are the Techno Classica auctions by Coys and RM Sotheby’s. Later this month there is, for instance, the auction at the Tupelo Automobile Museum and in France, there’s Stanislas Machoïr’s auction. In Britain, there are auctions by Barons, Mathewsons, SWVA and Anglia Car Auctions.
But next month it will be just as busy. In May 2019 there are 28 live auctions planned around the world. On May 10th for instance, there is the Silverstone auction at Heythrop Park in the UK and on the 19th there is the Aston Martin sale by Bonhams in Wormsley, UK. At Brooklands, there is the Mercedes-Benz World Sale on the 18th and on the 25th there is the prestigious Villa Erba sale by RM Sotheby’s in Italy.
Bodensee and Barcelona
In Germany there is the auction by Klassiker Auktionen at Motorworld Classics Bodensee and a few days earlier, on the 16th of May, there is the sale at the Retro Auto Moto Museum in Barcelona by auctioneer Stanislas Machoïr. There’s even an auction in the Netherlands, as the Dutch branche of BCA has its annual Klassieker Veiling at Barneveld on the 18th and in Denmark, auctioneer Campen Auktionen has a classic car auction at the Equitour-event in Vodskov.
