A family take-over in Texas, USA: Tiffany Kruse starts her own auction house Republic Auctions. She more or less takes over from her dad, who has managed Dan Kruse Classics since 1972.
San Antonio based Dan Kruse Classics has been one of the premier classic car auction houses, the business started as early as 1972. Mr Kruse comes from a family of auctioneers himself, being the third generation when he started his classic car auctions.
Tiffany Kruse is the eldest daughter of Dan Kruse. As a little girl, she already became active in the family business. Later she became chief of operations for Dan Kruse Classics. Now she and Sam Fullerton have taken over her father’s business and turned it into a new auction house: Republic Auctions.
The inaugural auction of Republic Auctions will be on November 22 and 23 in Dallas Market Hall in Dallas, Texas (USA). This auction now takes over the date that was left behind by Leake, that cancelled the auction at Fort Worth on November 21 and 22.
This also means that all scheduled auctions by Dan Kruse Classics, like the auction on November 30 in Houston, Texas, are cancelled. Dan Kruse is now concentrating on his new business, an oilfield company. “It was a good time for Tiffany to go out on her own. I taught her well and have every confidence she will continue to do a wonderful job!”, he tells us through Facebook.
The first auction of Republic Auctions will feature at least 400 vehicles and around 100 lots of memorabilia.
