You can be sure to have something unique with this Citroën AM pick-up because it is a one-off. It is on auction this month in Switzerland.
Usually, it’s 2CV’s that are used for all sorts of strange conversions.
This time though it is a Citroën Ami that has been turned into a pick-up.
And it is not just any Ami, but it’s a Super, equipped with the 53 hp 1.015 cc four-cylinder boxer engine of the bigger Citroën GS.
This car is from 1973. It has been converted by the Swiss coachbuilder Hürzeler in Luzern and it has probably been used by the same company as a service vehicle. Later it was used by a tyre business in the same city. It is now with its third owner.
The mechanical bits of the car have been overhauled and it looks immaculate. This car is on sale in the auction by Oldtimer Galerie Toffen in Toffen, Switzerland on April 21. The catalogue does not give an estimate yet, but the car is also being offered on Autoscout24 at a price of CHF 18,000.
